January Acts of Kindness- Sara Rosenberg

It is always a pleasure to meet people who are past members of the Blue White Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors, and it is the double the pleasure to meet their spouses. Last week I had this experience when I received a phone call from Sara Rosenberg. Sara and her husband Maury, who served on the board in 2007 & 2008, were a big part of the foundation’s activities during that period, when they graciously hosted the Kick Off Parties before the famous Howie Long Golf Outings. Now, Sara has generously donated designer Villanova purses. A savvy business woman, Sarah had negotiated a licensing agreement with over 160 schools, and even some pro teams, for the use of their team name and logo. She then set up manufacturing agreements in New York City, and worked with fashion designers to create beautiful pocketbooks. I met with Sara to pick up several of these basketball-shaped purses ( shown left in the picture ) as well as tote bags and other handbags. She has donated these items to support the Foundation’s fund-raising efforts.
