Asim Ahmed
Mr. Ahmed, a graduate of the Class of 2016, received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Villanova University with a specialization in Business Economics and a minor in Psychology. He is currently working in Product Marketing at Niantic, Inc., a Google spinoff and the company behind the global gaming phenomenon Pokémon GO. In addition, he has been a long time partnered content creator with YouTube. His past work experience includes working with the following brands: Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, eBay, PayPal, and Machinima Inc.
Olga Blyweiss
Ms. Blyweiss studied Accounting and Human Resource Management at Drexel University and then went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Villanova University in 2003. She is currently a Managing Director in the Federal Tax Practice for KPMG’s Philadelphia office. She services clients in the real estate, private equity, and professional service markets. She has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services, primarily consisting of pass-through entities and closely-held family owned businesses.
Robert Catelli
Mr. Catelli received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Villanova School of Business in 1998, and he has since been working in the securities and wealth management profession. He is currently First Vice President, Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services and is responsible for a portfolio in excess of $500 million. While at Villanova, he was a member of the Sigma alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is a member of the Union League of Philadelphia, and is active in a number of community organizations, including Pope and Young Club, and Kilgore’s Kids. An avid VU sports fan, he regularly attends VU away games all over the country.
Joe Cervini
Mr. Cervini received a Bachelor of Science in Business administration from Villanova's College of Commerce and Finance in 1971. He went on to have a long and successful career in the FBI. He is currently an Associate in the Technical Services Division of AT&T.
Brendan Cox
Mr. Cox graduated from Villanova University in 1992 with a BS in Accounting and received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He currently works as a tax partner at Ernst & Young where he also serves as Chair of Philadelphia office Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and lead tax recruiter for Villanova University.
Matthew Dillion
Mr. Dillon received a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 1992 as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. Currently, he is the President and a Principal Consultant of Pantheon Technology Consulting LLC, a firm specializing in Information Technology (IT) business systems analysis and technical communications for clients. He helps software application development companies, organizations and teams understand the needs of the user communities who depend on them, and build solutions that achieve business objectives.
Michael Helmick
Mr. Helmick graduated from Villanova University in 1964. After receiving his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1965, he joined Arthur Young & Company, where he worked in public accounting as both an auditor and a partner. In 1986, he joined First Manhattan Company, where he served as a partner until 2006 and Managing Director until 2010.
Pamela Laudadio
Ms. Laudadio received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Villanova University in 1980. While at Villanova, she was a member of the Varsity Women's Softball team and Pi Beta Delta Sorority. She is an experienced insurance professional, and a graduate of the American College, with CLU/ChFC certifications in Insurance, Estate and Financial Planning. She is currently a Securities Principal, a Registered Representative, and a Financial Advisor with Financial Advisors of the Delaware Valley, located in Wayne, PA.
John Maguire
Mr. Maguire is a seasoned sales representative in carbon-stainless steel, aluminum-alloy, tubular products and other stainless steel products. He represents McKnight Steel and Tube Company. He has been a Phillies fan and season ticket holder for 37 years, an Eagles fan and season ticket holder for 54 years, and of course, our own Villanova Men’s Basketball fan since 1986. He even went to the Final Four game in Detroit! John has five children and eight wonderful grandchildren.
John McCawley
Mr. McCawley is Director, Energy Acquisition at PECO Energy and has over 33 years with PECO in generation engineering and project management, planning, energy procurement and energy policy. He has a BS Electrical Engineering (Lehigh), MBA (Villanova ‘88) and an MS Finance from Drexel. John is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. He is on the board of Arden Theatre Company and a Boy Scout volunteer at Troop 542 Maple Glen.
David Miller
Mr. David F. Miller III graduated from Villanova in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree and began career at Arthur Andersen & Co. In 1971 he entered the MBA program at Boston College and graduated in 1973 with a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Finance. He returned to Arthur Andersen at the completion of graduate school and worked in the Boston Office until September 1977. In September he started M&S Management Associates Inc. in Philadelphia, a management consulting firm. In 1981 he sold the interest in M&S and joined Bouton Corporation, a manufacturer of Industrial Safety Products, as President and CEO. He served in this capacity for 29 years. In 2013 he joined Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Corporate and Professional Education Department primarily working with high-tech, defense and manufacturing companies in this capacity working with these companies to find appropriate educational solutions for their employees through custom-tailored graduate programs and workshops. Miller is also a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts & Pennsylvania, active in various industry and charitable organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boston Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and the New England Chapter of the International Council of Systems Engineering. He is married with three children and resides in Dover, MA.
Jeremy Plymette
Mr. Plymette is a 2011 MBA graduate from the Villanova School of Business. After a brief stint in the music industry immediately out of undergraduate school, he leveraged his degree in advertising to begin his now 10 year tenure with one of the world’s largest out-of-home media vendors, Clear Channel Outdoor, a subsidiary of iHeartMedia, Inc.
Ron Russo
Dr. Russo earned his degree from Villanova University in 1952. He has been a family physician for more than 50 years, and he still practices one day a week. He is one of the Blue White Scholarship Foundation's founding members.
Kevin Scanlon
Mr. Scanlon received his BA Degree from Villanova University in 1981. He is President of Surgical Laser Technologies (SLT, Inc.), formerly PhotoMedex Surgical, a company he has been involved with for almost 25 years. He has over 30 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, as well as expertise in contract negotiations; building, managing and retaining sales teams, distribution (domestic and international), business development, P&L accountability and management training.
Steven Szaroleta
Mr. Szaroleta graduated from Villanova University in 2005 with a B.S in Accounting. In 2010, he earned his MBA in International Business from the University of Delaware. He currently works as a manager at Grant Thornton in Philadelphia, PA, where he advises financial institutions on anti-money laundering compliance. His written publications include subjects like foreign correspondent banking and virtual currency risks.
Stephanie Haas Thoeny
Ms. Haas Thoeny received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Villanova University in 2005, and has pursued a career in the insurance industry since that time. She is currently a Vice President with CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. in Plymouth meeting, PA. CBIZ is one of the nation's largest insurance brokerage firms, specializing in serving clients with complex risk management, insurance, and employee benefits. Her clients include medical practices, non-profit businesses, and other professional liability clients. In 2013, she received the CBIZ “Rising Star” Award. She earned Varsity letters in Field hockey and Lacrosse while at Villanova, and she continues to compete in Marathon and Triathlon events.
William Wright
Mr. Wright received his BA from Villanova University in 1987 and a law degree from Western Michigan Law School. In his career, he has worked as an Associate at McNees and as a Partner at Wolf Block. Currently, Wright is a partner in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices of Fisher and Phillips, and is the chair of the firm's International Employment Practice Group. He counsels employers on various global employment, compensation and benefit issues related to employees abroad, as well as foreign nationals working in the U.S. and the employment of U.S. permanent residents and citizens abroad.
